I've used the Micador Raines watercolour paper, giving a beautiful chocolate colour where the paper has been exposed to the dyebath.
I've then sewn the pages together using coptic stitch, to make an informal sampler book.

wow - lovely! I'm not familiar with the micador range - I might have to get a few sheets to experiment with
ReplyDeletel am not familiar with this paper either..maybe it is called something else in UK. Either way it is gorgeous my blogging friend. What plants did you use pleasex.
ReplyDeleteHi Lynda
ReplyDeleteThe paper works well because it doesn't have much sizing in it. Maybe you should ask your local art shop if they can order it in?
The dye bath had eucalpyt leaves in it, they are really good for dyeing. You should have a look at India Flint's book EcoDyeing which lists lots of plants suitable for dyeing.
